This is the front of the house now that all the loose rendering has been removed. The house needs to be re-rendered in parts which will mixed with PVA glue so that it will bond with the lime mortar. The whole house needs to be covered in PVA glue before we paint it.

The wooden frames which were once to highlight where the windows were pre window tax have been removed. They were pieces of skirting board and architrave! Very oldy worldy! This is also being rendered as water was seeping in behind the wooden panelling.
Like most things with the house, it looks worse before it looks better.
